✦ The Best New Artist Grammy medley has us more excited about music than we’ve been in years, TBH. KATSEYE, Olivia Dean, Lola Young, Addison Rae, The Marías, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and SOMBR each brought their own vibe, and we were obsessed. There’s something so special about seeing artists at the start of what’s about to be a huge chapter. Our group chats were blowing up with “did you see that???” and “this is unreal.” Plus, HUGE congrats to Olivia for winning Best New Artist!! Her post-win Instagram caption, “WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT EACH OTHER,” says it all.
✦ Ariana Grande broke down some of her most iconic looks for Vogue. From Cat Valentine to the sweatshirt-and-boots era (hello 2017) to her Glinda-inspired lighter eyebrows, she’s reminding us to play with fashion and makeup while finding our signature style. Ari revealed her favorite thing she’s ever worn: the fairy dress she performed in at the 2024 Met Gala. We can’t blame her.
✦ One flop is not a flop era, even though sometimes it feels like it is. If you find yourself in a messy moment, we made a playbook just for you. The Bounce Back Blueprint has quizzes, activities, and tools to help you reset your mindset, pivot with intention, and come back in a way that actually feels like you.
✦ Noah Kahan’s new album, The Great Divide, arrives April 24, and honestly, for a guy who makes freezing weather and gray afternoons sound kinda romantic, the timing is perfect. He’s giving us something to look forward to when the ice finally melts. In a promo video, Noah reminds us to make things just because they feel good, to let the process be the win, and to celebrate the little victories, not just the chart-topping ones (we see you, Stick Season). “It’s okay to stop and enjoy it and to be proud of myself,” he says. We totally agree.
✦ Dai Time shared what people get wrong about our generation, and it’s so real. She says people assume we’re lazy because of advances in tech (cough, AI, cough), but the truth is we’re not all in on brainrot. We’re just smart about tech and innovative in our own way. “Trust that one way or another we’re exercising our brains and working on new ways to go about achieving our dreams. Sometimes it just looks a little different, and I feel like that’s actually one of my generation’s biggest strengths.” So true.
✦ “Bookstreaming” is going viral, with Kai Cenat reading on live in his return from a months-long break from Twitch. His goal? To articulate himself better by reading out loud, so he pauses to look up words he doesn’t know along the way. These imperfect gaps are kind of the point. It’s a reminder that we can all put our own spin on reading to make it feel like us. Doechii (yes, THE Doechii) recommended Kai check out Toni Morrison’s books. “That’s expanded my vocabulary, my descriptiveness and just softened my heart a bit,” Doechii said. Total inspo to read along and let new words meet us where we are.
✦ Trinity Rodman just broke a massive record. She’s now the highest-paid women’s soccer player EVER. She’ll get over $2 million each year, aka a huge bag, and she’s staying with the Washington Spirit through 2028. How’d she pull it off? She says she always had a vision for her career. Love that. And yes, the paycheck is iconic, but the impact is even bigger. She’s shifting the standard for what women athletes deserve. She hopes she’s opening doors for every American girl with a dream.
✦ And speaking of soccer, the U.S. Women’s National Team is on a roll. They beat Paraguay 6-0 and Chile 5-0 in back-to-back friendlies. Pure domination. Trinity Rodman (yes, again) captained the Paraguay match and looked like she’d been doing it forever. Then Emily Sams took the armband against Chile and kept the energy high. Plus, a bunch of new faces scored their first international goals and assists, which we love. It’s all setting the tone for a huge year with tournaments like the SheBelieves Cup ahead.
✦ We’re obsessed with the looks at Paris Fashion Week. Celebs like Olandria Carthen, Tyla, Jessie Murph, Christopher Briney, Gabbriette, Dua Lipa, and Gracie Abrams all wore outfits we’ll see in our dreams. Oui oui!
✦ School Spirit’s third season finally started!! The first three episodes are out now. We won’t spoil anything, but we’re excited (and scared) to see what’s about to go down with our fave Split River High kids. Plus, Lizzy McAlpine made her TV debut in one episode. Her songs had such a big impact on the show that her friend Milo Manheim thought it would be cool if she had a role, and he asked the writers to make it happen. Thank you, Milo.
✦ Grace Van Patten reflected on playing college student Lucy on Tell Me Lies for Teen Vogue. “I thought it was really unique in the way that it took these young people’s feelings very seriously,” she said. “Your responsibilities are very low, so most of your time is consumed by how friendships and relationships make you feel.” Reminder: it’s totally normal if friendship struggles feel like the biggest thing in your world.
